PLEASE PRAY FOR US

“I planted the seed in your
hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.” 1
Cor.3:6
Most of the people here in the
village have no stable work. Fishing and
copra are the main source of living but it is not enough to sustain a family.
Because of poverty, most of our friends here go to Malaysia illegally to look
for work there. Malaysia is just a two
hour ride from our place using motorboat. Most of the times, they were caught
by policemen and put in prison. They experience hardships inside the jail in
Malaysia. Before they discharge them, they will be transported in Mindanao
detention center. Even though it is very risky, they still choose to go back to
Malaysia to look for a living.
Last time, five of our Bible
students went to Malaysia. Three of them were already attending the Sabbath
worships regularly. My partner & I were sad every time our converts and
students leave the village. We encouraged them to stay but they said that they
need to face the danger for the sake of their love ones. The good thing was,
before they leave, they didn’t forget to request us to offer a prayer for them.
After we prayed, we give our farewell message to them. We encouraged them to
have a consistent personal prayer- a prayer that comes from their heart not
just a memorized one. They said, “Don’t
you worry Sir, we don’t forget the things that you have taught us. We will
continue to pray to Isa Almasi (Jesus Christ). We are happy to know a powerful
and loving God.” So despite our sadness, we are also happy knowing that the
seed of truths were planted on their hearts. Our prayers is that, may the light
that they have received will reflect to others too.
Dear Faith-partners, your
continuous support will never be in vain. It is a great help for us to continue
the spreading of gospel among the unreached people groups. Thank you for being
our co-laborers for Christ. More power and God bless!
GOD’S ANSWER

One afternoon while I was cleaning the backyard, a traveler came. He was tired and thirsty so I gave him water and invited him inside the house to rest. During the conversation, he told me that his baby has convulsion so I immediately instructed him what to do and send him home while I prepared the needed things to bring. I prayed to God while walking alone in the forest. I felt unafraid. When I reached the village, I saw a man running away with a gun and another woman following him and shouting. I continued walking until I finally reached the house. There were many people inside. I was surprised when I saw that they have guns. One woman was crying and I have learned that the man running with a gun I saw a while ago wanted to commit suicide because their son is sick and the mother also has a pain in the stomach.

We could always trust in the Lord whatever circumstances we are facing.
